Bill studied music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama as a junior exhibitioner, every Saturday, for many years whilst at school and then full time when he left school for 3 years. His principal instrument at the time was the Trumpet with Piano as a second study. Guitar he studied externally with the fine Jazz & session Guitarist Harry Barnet.

On leaving College he decided Guitar was the instrument for him and he has enjoyed a very interesting and varied career as player and teacher so far.

Bill's students benefit from his many years as a professional guitarist with experience of playing in combinations from a Rock Band to a Symphony Orchestra, Stage Shows, Jazz Bands, Covers Bands etc. and first-hand knowledge of performing in Concert Halls, Rock Clubs, Jazz Clubs, TV, Radio and Recording Studios in the UK and abroad. But most of all students learn from someone who is totally passionate about anything and everything to do with the guitar.
